Who we are
MyTutor operates mytutor.sbs and arranges online tutoring. Contact hello@mytutor.sbs for privacy questions or requests.
Your enquiry
We collect the contact details and any optional information you submit to respond to your request, arrange tutoring and maintain the enquiry record. Please do not submit sensitive information. A parent or guardian should make enquiries for students under 18. We use enquiry data to take steps at your request before arranging a service.
Website measurement
We record page views, interaction types such as WhatsApp and enquiry clicks, active time on a page, scroll depth, referring website domain, campaign labels, broad device and browser categories, and approximate country, region and city inferred from the visitor’s IP address. IP location is approximate and may reflect a VPN, mobile network or provider gateway. We use this information to understand which pages help visitors find tutoring, relying on our legitimate interest in improving the service. Measurement does not use analytics cookies, persistent browser identifiers, precise location, fingerprinting or cross-site profiles. Each page load has a separate random identifier. We respect browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by disabling this measurement.
Cookies and security
Essential session cookies protect enquiry forms and administrator access. Server logs may contain IP addresses for security. A temporary one-way address digest is used to limit abusive requests and is not included in analytics reporting. We do not record form typing, private messages or the contents of external WhatsApp conversations.
Service providers and international services
Our hosting and database providers process information to operate this website. Google Fonts receives a connection request when fonts load. Contacting us through WhatsApp uses WhatsApp’s services and privacy terms. For approximate location lookup, the server sends the visitor’s IP address over HTTPS to IPWhois (ipwhois.io / ipwho.is). We store the returned country, region and city, not the raw IP or GPS coordinates. A keyed address digest caches lookups for up to 24 hours to reduce repeated requests. Data may be processed outside your country. Information relevant to arranging lessons may be shared with the selected tutor as needed.
Retention and your choices
Enquiries are kept for up to 12 months after the last relevant contact unless needed for a current service or legal obligation. Detailed website measurement is retained for up to 90 days. Security rate-limit records expire after one day. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to object to processing where applicable. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
